Terms of use

Effective August 2026

Short version: this is an independent guide made by a parent, for parents. Use it to research schools; verify anything that matters directly with the school before acting on it.

What Primerly is

Primerly is an independent directory and guide to schools in the Portland area. We are not affiliated with any school or district.

About the information

School data (tuition, deadlines, programs, enrollment, lottery odds) is gathered from public sources: state records, district publications, and schools' own websites. We date-stamp our verification and correct errors quickly, but schools change their details constantly and without telling us. We dream of the day when schools will contact us directly with new deadlines, open houses, and details, but we are not there yet.

• Always confirm deadlines, tuition, and enrollment steps with the school before relying on them. Primerly is a human-run guide: every entry is gathered, checked, and dated by people who care about getting it right. That care is real, and so are its limits. For anything with a consequence, a deadline, a payment, a signature, the school itself is your source of truth, every time
• Lottery odds describe past cycles; they are not a prediction of yours
• Editorial descriptions and Field Notes are opinion, clearly written as such

We are not responsible for decisions made, or deadlines missed, on the basis of information here; the school's own communication is always the authority.

Your account and notebook

• Accounts are for personal, family use in choosing a school
• You are responsible for what you write in notes; a notebook is shared fully with any co-parent you invite, and invitations can't be un-sent once accepted
• We may close accounts used for scraping, reselling data, or harassment

Using our content

Share links freely; print pages and tour kits for your own family's use. Republishing our data or editorial content commercially requires written permission.
