WildRoots runs outdoor, part-week school programs for ages 3–16 on 2 campuses west of Portland: a 40-acre native forest campus in Hillsboro and a working farm in Gales Creek. Families build a schedule of 1 to 4 days a week September through May. That makes it a common fit for homeschoolers and for students in charter or online charter schools, whose school funds WildRoots accepts.

The lineup: Nature Preschool (ages 3–5, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, Reggio Emilia inspired), Forest Explorers (5–7), Forest School Kestrels (8–12), Farm School (Meadowlarks 5–7, Towhees 8–12), and Forest Keepers Guild (12–16), a theme-based track built on 3 guild pathways.

Forest students learn fire-building, knife work, shelter-making, tracking, wayfinding, and plant ID; farm students care for Dexter cows, heritage hogs, and chickens and cook from the garden. Groups cap at 8 students per teacher (7 in preschool).

Tuition follows a Choose-Your-Tuition model with a no-verification sliding scale at 65–85% of standard, and an on-site Nature School Therapy program supports children with sensory or regulation needs.
