Three Rivers Charter School is a tuition-free public charter in West Linn serving grades 4–8, deliberately kept to about 110 students, roughly 20 to 24 per grade. The program rests on 3 stated cornerstones: genuine relationship, academic individualization, and personal rigor. Students are not assigned to one homeroom teacher; every teacher works with every student, and grades are often combined, with science and social studies taught on a 2-year cycle for grades 4/5 and a 3-year cycle for grades 6–8. Math uses Investigations in 4th grade and Connected Math in grades 5–8, and students who show mastery can accelerate a year, finishing high school geometry in 8th grade.

Each spring, students complete a term-long Independent Project on a topic they choose. December brings 3 weeks of art electives ending in an Art Show, and PE runs in monthly units, many off site. Character Strong SEL lessons run in advisory and health classes. Practical notes: there is no bus service and no after-school care, students bring their own lunch, and the school asks families for a voluntary Kids First pledge to help cover its building mortgage. Admission is by annual lottery open only to West Linn-Wilsonville residents.
