Stafford Farm School is a nonprofit Christian hybrid school for grades K–8. Students attend class on campus Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and complete school-assigned lessons at home on Monday and Friday, with parents as partners in instruction. Most classrooms are at Willamette Christian Church in West Linn. Licensed teachers lead grade-level homerooms, and Math and Language Arts are taught in groups of about 10 students placed by skill level rather than grade, within classrooms of about 20. Elementary students have weekly Spanish, computer literacy (typing, Google tools, research skills), PE, Bible navigation with scripture memory, a weekly chapel called Huddle, service projects and a December Christmas Program. Grades 5 and 6 add multiple teachers across the day and a weekly electives block, with past topics including coding, art and leadership. Junior High (7th and 8th) has subject teachers for math, language arts, history and science, Spanish and Bible, organized around 4 pillars: Faith, Curiosity, Responsibility and Character.

SFS started in 2020 as a one-room, two-days-a-week micro-school and has expanded each year, by 2024–25 it served K–8 with a junior-high program; nonprofit filings also note expansion to an additional classroom site at Willamette Christian Church to accommodate growth. The through-line in school materials is purposeful pacing, licensed teachers, and a community rhythm that “slows childhood” while keeping academics robust.

Tuition: $500/month - $550/month (2025-2026 range)

Your odds in the lottery

Seats here aren’t first-come; they’re drawn by lottery. Each circle below is a tenth of the families who applied over the last two springs and stayed in the running (didn’t take a higher-ranked school). Filled circles got a yes.
