St. John Fisher School is a PreK–8 parish Catholic school in Southwest Portland, accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association. The program combines traditional and progressive methods to develop the whole child spiritually, morally, academically, socially, physically, and culturally, and is staffed by lay faculty and 1 deacon who carry forward the charism of St.
Francis of Assisi through prayer and service to people in need. Classes run 1 section per grade, with instructional assistants supporting PreK through 4th grade and departmentalized math, science, religion, and Spanish in grades 5–8. Two Academic Support teachers cover K–4 and 4th–8th, and the school reports expanded academic help at recess and after school 4 days a week.
Specialists deliver music and technology, PE and health, and library and research skills; Spanish begins in 5th grade. A schoolwide Virtues Program and a family-group buddy system pair older and younger students, and service is built into the year through parish projects and partners including St. Vincent de Paul. Extended Care operates on site before and after school.

Seats here aren’t first-come; they’re drawn by lottery. Each circle below is a tenth of the families who applied over the last two springs and stayed in the running (didn’t take a higher-ranked school). Filled circles got a yes.
Official PPS lottery results, 2025-26 & 2026-27 combined: offers made ÷ families still in the running (offered + waitlisted); applications cancelled for a higher-ranked school excluded. pps.net › prior transfer data. Slots reset every year.
