Ockley Green Middle School is a comprehensive neighborhood middle school serving grades 6–8 in North Portland, within the historic heart of Portland's Black community. The school is guided by three core values, Care, Collaboration, and Growth, and 14 languages are spoken across the school community. Ockley Green is one of PPS's Spanish Dual Language Immersion continuation sites, carrying forward the bilingual academic program for students coming primarily from Beach Elementary's Spanish DLI strand. The program also welcomes eligible native Spanish speakers, consistent with the district's two-way immersion model. Students who complete the 8th grade DLI program continue to Roosevelt High School.
Academic supports include Special Education and TAG services. Student life centers on voice and belonging. Student-led affinity groups including BSU, GSA, LUCHA, and PISA provide culturally-specific spaces for students to explore identity and shared experience as part of the school's explicit anti-racism work. An 8th grade Leadership Class plans schoolwide events. The school participates in PPS Outdoor School, offers PIL Youth Sports, and has a SUN Community School program run by Self Enhancement, Inc. The OG Supporters (the parent and guardian group) fundraises and coordinates community events.

Seats here aren’t first-come; they’re drawn by lottery. Each circle below is a tenth of the families who applied over the last two springs and stayed in the running (didn’t take a higher-ranked school). Filled circles got a yes.
Official PPS lottery results, 2025-26 & 2026-27 combined: offers made ÷ families still in the running (offered + waitlisted); applications cancelled for a higher-ranked school excluded. pps.net › prior transfer data. Slots reset every year.
