The Islamic School of MET is a PK–12 independent program that pairs Cognia-accredited academics with daily Arabic, Qur'an, and Islamic Studies, delivered on the MET Community Center campus in Tigard.

Elementary (ISMET, Pre-K–5) builds a holistic foundation in literacy, math, science, and social studies, taught alongside faith and character education; middle and high school (Oregon Islamic Academy, grades 6–12) extend that into a college-preparatory track with graduates accepted to competitive universities including Harvard, Cornell, Dartmouth, Amherst, Middlebury, and Emory.

Campus resources include a library, computer lab, and access to MET's community facilities for PE and events: a gymnasium/multipurpose hall (also used for Friday prayers with families), basketball court, and an indoor swimming pool where boys and girls learn to swim separately in keeping with Islamic practices.

Families typically choose MET for its tight-knit community, Arabic language continuity from preschool through 12th grade, and a setting where Islamic faith is fully integrated with rigorous core coursework.

Tuition: $9,000–$15,000 (2025-2026 range)

Your odds in the lottery

Seats here aren’t first-come; they’re drawn by lottery. Each circle below is a tenth of the families who applied over the last two springs and stayed in the running (didn’t take a higher-ranked school). Filled circles got a yes.
