International Leadership Academy (ILA) is a daycare–5th grade French-immersion independent school in Lake Oswego where core academics are taught in French by native speakers, following the French national curriculum, with English, Spanish, and Arabic instruction added developmentally. As the only school in the area with both US and French accreditation, ILA blends academic rigor with a nurturing, multilingual environment. Families often choose ILA for early bilingualism and a global focus that starts in the toddler years and carries through elementary.

The school offers a unique academic structure of seven-week intensive learning cycles followed by one-week 'Immersion Through Culture' sessions featuring circus arts, sports, cooking, and art. ILA augments class time with rotating after-school programs that change every three months, including options like pottery, ballet, martial arts, Mandarin, and American Sign Language. Many families also use ILA's summer programs to keep language momentum going, with camps taught in both French and English featuring cooking, arts and crafts, robotics, science, dance, and yoga. Overall, it's a very small, close-knit immersion community centered on authentic French language and cultural learning.
