Harrison Park Middle School converted from a K-8 to a dedicated 6-8 campus in fall 2023 as part of PPS's Southeast Enrollment and Program Balancing initiative, drawing neighborhood students from the Vestal and Atkinson attendance areas. The school offers Mandarin Chinese Dual Language Immersion continuation for students from Clark Elementary and Woodstock Elementary. AVID runs schoolwide with a dedicated AVID/Leadership teacher, building college-readiness strategies across all content areas.

The campus completed a $27 million 2020 Bond renovation in January 2025, adding air conditioning and filtered air, a STEAM Lab, a new SPED classroom with de-escalation space, a secure entry vestibule, seismic upgrades, and new technology in every classroom, all built in phases while students continued attending. Facilities include two gymnasiums, a theater/auditorium, science classrooms with prep rooms, and a library. Harrison Park is designated an Asian Pacific Islander culturally specific SUN Community School, operated by IRCO (Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization), with an IRCO Family Resource Navigator embedded on site.
