Firmly Planted Westside is an independent, faith-based homeschool co-op serving families in the Tigard area, meeting one day a week (Mondays) at Grace Point Community Church on Gaarde Street. The co-op runs two 10-week terms each year with students in grades 1–12 taking three classes per Monday, grouped by grade band (1st–3rd, 4th–7th, and 8th–12th).
All classes are taught by co-op member parents rather than hired instructors, and the class list shifts each term based on what participating families want and are able to offer. Every family is expected to contribute: one adult per family stays on-site the full day each week, fulfilling the participation requirement by teaching, assisting, or serving in a support role.
Beyond the weekly schedule, families gather throughout the year for field trips, game and movie nights, holiday parties, and service projects through the host church. The co-op regularly operates at capacity and requires an interest list, open house attendance, and an interview before enrollment.
Tuition: $135.00 annually and a $40 background check fee per participating adult

Seats here aren’t first-come; they’re drawn by lottery. Each circle below is a tenth of the families who applied over the last two springs and stayed in the running (didn’t take a higher-ranked school). Filled circles got a yes.
Official PPS lottery results, 2025-26 & 2026-27 combined: offers made ÷ families still in the running (offered + waitlisted); applications cancelled for a higher-ranked school excluded. pps.net › prior transfer data. Slots reset every year.
