Cathedral School pairs strong core academics with daily Catholic formation, faith, service, and knowledge, and a full slate of specials in Spanish, art, music, theatre, and PE. Class sizes are small with one class per grade, and PreK–5 classrooms have a teacher plus an assistant. The curriculum is distinguished by its "Disciple of Christ: Education in Virtue" program, which explicitly integrates character formation and theological habits into daily academic lessons, rather than treating religion as a standalone subject.

A major differentiator is the school’s robust music and theatre program; students have access to a rigorous choral program that performs regularly, as well as theatre offerings in middle school, features rarely found in standard parish schools. Academically, the school prioritizes long-term continuity in World Language, with Spanish instruction beginning in Kindergarten and intensifying in Middle School. Technology is integrated (1:1 iPad ratio) to support, not replace, rich instruction. Students attend weekly Mass next door at St. Mary’s Cathedral and take part in service, leadership, and longstanding school traditions. Families cite high placement into their first-choice high schools as a point of pride.
