Beaumont Middle School serves as a comprehensive neighborhood hub with a reputation for strong academics and a well-regarded performing arts program. The school’s most significant academic differentiator is its function as a continuation site for the district’s Spanish Dual Language Immersion (DLI) track; students from feeder elementary schools (primarily Rigler) take advanced Spanish Language Arts and Social Studies in Spanish, while mixing with neighborhood students for their remaining core classes; DLI-track students progress to Leodis V. McDaniel for high school.

For the general student body, the curriculum follows standard PPS benchmarks but is enriched by a particularly robust electives offering, including a celebrated band, orchestra, and choir program that feeds directly into the arts-heavy culture of nearby Grant High School. To support the social transition from elementary to middle school, Beaumont utilizes the WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) mentorship model, where 8th-grade leaders are trained to guide incoming 6th graders through their first year, fostering a more inclusive campus climate than the typical "sink or swim" middle school experience.
