Ainsworth offers a full Spanish immersion program from kindergarten through fifth grade, where students learn core subjects in Spanish during the early grades before gradually transitioning to a bilingual model (90:10 model). This approach builds fluency and cultural competency alongside academic skills. Lessons are infused with Latin American and Spanish literature, history, and arts, giving students a rich global perspective. The program fosters problem-solving, adaptability, and empathy, qualities essential for thriving in an interconnected world. Teachers use a blend of traditional instruction, cooperative learning, and hands-on projects to keep lessons engaging and meaningful. Graduates leave Ainsworth well-prepared for the next stage of the PPS Spanish Immersion pathway at West Sylvan Middle School.
The school recieves robust support from its foundation, bridging the public funding gap for non-staff needs. Apoyemos el Español supports K–12 Spanish Immersion across Lincoln cluster, funding an intern program, teacher grants, and the 8th grade capstone trip.

Seats here aren’t first-come; they’re drawn by lottery. Each circle below is a tenth of the families who applied over the last two springs and stayed in the running (didn’t take a higher-ranked school). Filled circles got a yes.
Official PPS lottery results, 2025-26 & 2026-27 combined: offers made ÷ families still in the running (offered + waitlisted); applications cancelled for a higher-ranked school excluded. pps.net › prior transfer data. Slots reset every year.
