Activate is a 3rd- through 5th-grade microschool focused on art, hands-on learning, and support for students with dyslexia. They serve both neurodivergent and neurotypical students.
Their program offers a balance of teacher-directed and child-directed learning, research-based and data-driven core curriculum, a low staff-to-student ratio, cross-curricular integration, engaging content, weekly field trips, hands-on projects, and long recesses. Their calming, comfortable, thoughtfully arranged space allows kids to freely explore art, music, engineering, books, puzzles, and more.
They do not use screen-based curriculum, long standardized tests, or homework.
Tuition: $14,400 (2026-2027)

Seats here aren’t first-come; they’re drawn by lottery. Each circle below is a tenth of the families who applied over the last two springs and stayed in the running (didn’t take a higher-ranked school). Filled circles got a yes.
Official PPS lottery results, 2025-26 & 2026-27 combined: offers made ÷ families still in the running (offered + waitlisted); applications cancelled for a higher-ranked school excluded. pps.net › prior transfer data. Slots reset every year.
